It can be embarrassing when you have a new style, change of cut or even colour and it takes a few days to grow out. Or even months to sometimes 2 years to grow it out again. So how do you overcome these obstacles in case you have not grown your mane out from perm, cut off by a care worker in frustration or throwing the hair out after being wrapped up in a towel at the end of a hard day.
There are different ways of skin ageing and most people will suffer with dry, lack lustre hair. Often this is a result of the use of commercial hair products which simulate oil and moisture and build up on the hair. Or maybe we simply just want to freshen things up and let our hair breathe by removing some of the essential oils that it is lacking. Either way we need to be able to slow down or stop the loss of nutrients and moisture from our hair to prevent our hair from drying out.
So the first rule of avoiding dry hair is to always use products that are specially formulated to protect and nourish your hair. If you have dry hair you should not use mousses that can contain alcohol. However if you have very dry hair you need to use a thick cream.
The type of oil that you use is also important. Jojoba oil is a great example. It allows you to nourish and moisturise your hair as well as has some amazing anti ageing properties. Mineral oils and certain powders that are based on silicone also give great protection but be careful as it can also give you oiliness.
There are some amazing hair masks that you can use to restore your hair and it is a simple process of adding some natural organic ingredients and some warm water to make your own. There are many recipes you can paste together from foods you have in your kitchen and you can add different ingredients such as eggs, avocado, oats and rosewater to make your own mask.
The great thing about trying these masks is that you will not have to worry about wasting weeks of your time and money going to a salon in a salon and spending so much. You can just make the mask at home in minutes and you can instantly apply it to your hair.
So to help you get started here are some easy recipes to use to make your own mask.
